Gathering information is an important process when it comes to booking your next hunting adventure. We want it to be as easy decision, so here is a little info about us and how we got started...
Brady Giles, owner and master guide, has over 17 years of guiding experience. His first successful experience guiding was as a young man of 14, where he called in an elusive Osceola turkey for a grown man in the swamps of Lower Suwannee. With a feeling that guiding was the Lord's calling for him, he attended Northwestern O.G.C. School for outfitters, guides and camp cooks after high school. Upon graduating in 1993, he worked for an outfit in Colorado guiding elk and mule deer hunts and later obtained a job as ranch manager of a successful hunting lodge in Florida.
Brady Giles and his first MO buck!
It was with this experience that B & J Outfitters was officially founded in 2000. He met his wife, Lora Giles, in 2003 while she was attending the University of Florida. Lora has been majorly involved in the business as a guide, office manager, and a cook.
Recently they changed the name to Cross Coutry Outfitters LCC to better protect and describe the growth that the Lord has blessed the company with. Since its founding, the Giles’ family business has been featured in several magazines, including the Woods N Water magazine cover twice, and stories in Rack, Turkey Call, and Boar Hunter Magazine. He has also appeared on national television eighteen times, including three shows with Lynch Turkey Calls in Sportsman Showcase and Eye in the Woods, videos with Micheal Drost, world-renowned knife maker, as well as elk, mule deer, and upland hunting in Xtreme Hunting Adventures and American Outdoor Journal.
More importantly, he has established a reputation with both the working man and leaders in the industry across the US as an experienced, ethical guide, fair businessman, and knowledgeable woodsman. The many stories of successful hunts, satisfied hunters and lifelong memories are as much of a testament to his beliefs, work ethic, and skill as Lora Giles and a big KS tom! any of his televised hunting shows.
There is probably only two months time spread throughout the year that Brady and Lora are not entertaining hunters. They also work for our friends and fellow outfitters, Trent and Cheryl Snyder of Silver Spur Outfitters in Colorado. They guide elk and mule deer hunts throughout archery and 2nd rifle season before heading back to Kansas to start the deer hunts.
